How We Help

Creating the Behavioral Treatment Plan

After your child is assessed, our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) will create an individual treatment plan. A Behavioral Therapist implements the plan. Feedback is provided based on ongoing data evaluation and periodic assessments, so that your child’s plan can be modified to ensure the intervention is maximally effective.

PARENT SUPPORT

Partnership with our parents is a vital component to the effectiveness of each child’s intervention. As such, ABAeffects caregivers are active participants in their children’s programs and are supported in a variety of ways, including:

Families benefit from parent focused sessions. Caregiver participation provides an empowering experience and a higher level of motivation for the family to make the necessary changes. Caregivers learn about assessing functions of behavior, behavior analytic procedures, and implementation of specific interventions. The goal is to leave the family with basic the ABA strategies they need to teach their child new skills and to reduce undesired behaviors.

Clinical Meetings – Parents are part of the team too! As such, feedback from all members of a child’s treatment team is considered at clinical meetings, which keeps programming relevant.

Participation during Instructional Sessions – Parents get hands-on experience in skill-building and behavior management by participating during 1:1 sessions.

Generalization to the natural environment –We work with parents to design interventions to be used daily. We also teach parents to collect data to ensure gains are generalized and maintained outside of the therapy setting.

Partnership in the development of treatment goals – We value and understand the importance of working with our families to address each individual’s priorities.
